AS A CREATOR of video content that involves sight, sound (music & narration), color (or lack of it), and a bunch of other things that all contribute to the desired end of any effort, I can tell you, it’s pretty easy with so much going on to overlook things. This explains movie crews and people working on set and in pre- and post-production together to rein in the various parts and pieces of whatever the project is to get it where it needs to go.
I used to do that. Now, it’s just me. And I prefer it. But man, am I ever human.
I always wait a couple of days after publishing a video to revisit it and find the flaws. This one had a couple of issues, framing and audio mainly. The other thing was the aesthetic. I originally wanted to keep this series B&W except for where creative opportunities or setbacks in image conversion (turning a color image B&W) call for that shot of color. On my latest viewing, I decided to return to my default specs, strip out the color shots (save for one toward the end) and give the video a silver polish, which I have to say, feels right.
Anyway, I hope you like it.
